2010 Kennedy Center Honors

President Obama and First Lady attended the 2010 Kennedy Center Honors Sunday evening to honor television host and actress Oprah Winfrey, singer and songwriter Merle Haggard, composer and lyricist Jerry Herman; dancer, choreographer and director Bill T. Jones, songwriter and musician Paul McCartney. The Obama’s also hosted a reception earlier that evening at the White House for the honorees.

Oprah Winfrey was named yesterday as a 2010 Kennedy Center Honoree. Other honorees include Paul McCartney, Bill T. Jones, Jerry Herman, and Merle Haggard. She will be honored along with others at the annual gala on December 5 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. (Hmmm, can somebody hookup me up tickets??)
